change of video card

hi guys i want to upgrage the video card in my t 42 to something like a 128mb is this possible and can it be done by myself. also what card would you sugest if possible. thanks

You cant upgrade the video cards in the T4x series or any other IBM laptop.

The only way you can is to change the entire motherboard.

If you want the 128Mb FireGL T2 motherboard look for a T41p,T42p motherboard.

Only usually Desktop Replacements from such companies as Alienware have the ability to change in and out graphics card, like Nvidia's MXM modules etc.
