Can't Update firmware on T43

#1 Post by DesolataX » Fri Sep 08, 2006 7:40 pm

I am trying to update my firmware to the latest version of the bios and the Embedded controller, but whenever I run the program, two windows show up of the flasher utility, but once I finish with the first one, it starts the shutdown sequence immediately when it restarts the computer. Unfortunatly, the floppy edition is not available to me as I don't have a floppy drive on my T43. But It never launches the firmware update on boot!
Anyone encounter this problem or know how to fix it?

Ah

You download the BIOS update (non-diskette)

You agree, and then, the machine should 'restart', then the IBM program start, you select 1, and then Accept all the dialog boxes. There you go.

Which part are you referring to?

This was just recently covered about a half a dozen posts down.
