Is it a good deal?
Today I ordered my T43p on the phone and I was asked to give the my credit number and the three digits on the back of the card.
It is my first time purchasing something on the phone so I am wondering whether the sales representative will abuse my information and just use my card to purchase something?
The configuration of the machine is the following for $1500, is it a good deal?
• Intel® Pentium® M Processor 760 (2GHz)[2]
• Genuine Windows® XP Professional
• Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG, Bluetooth[14]
• 1GB DDR2 SDRAM memory[3]
• 80GB 5400rpm hard drive[4]
• 6.10lbs., (W)12.2" x (D)10" x (H)1"
• 15.0" UXGA TFT (1600x1200) display
• DVD burner
• Integrated Fingerprint Reader
• 128MB ATI Mobility FireGL V3200 graphics
• Integrated Gigabit Ethernet and modem
• 9 cell Lithium-Ion battery[13]
• 3-year system/1-year battery limited warranty[8]

Sounds good.
Did you get the FlexView display?
I was wondering, if the T41/p. T42/p, T43/p cooling systems are similar (heatsink, heat produced by north/south bridges)
From which system you're upgrading?

Yes it is Flexview display. I never owned a laptop before so there is no such thing as upgrading.benottomex wrote:Sounds good.

I’d be real interested in hearing your thoughts on this unit once you receive it. I’m on the cusp of ordering the same but am a little concerned about the high screen resolution. I like the idea of the Flexview screen but being I’m pushing fifty my eyes are not what they used to be. I set my home monitor to the same 1600x1200 resolution, and yep, the fonts were pretty small, and that was on a 19 inch monitor. It can only be even worse on a 15 inch. I have read a lot of threads on similar subject and I get the impression that the resolution can be set to a lesser setting but some have said it can get blurry. Is it any different than what I experience on my home CRT? It looks fine there.

Where did you order it from? Lenovo directly or a third party?thinkweird wrote:Today I ordered my T43p on the phone and I was asked to give the my credit number and the three digits on the back of the card.
