Hi all, hope you can shed some light on this aggravating problem!
I bought a large t40 9 cell battery recently in preparation for some extensive travels, popped it in, factory fresh, and it worked fine. I go traveling.
One day last week I'm working off battery power, and suddenly the laptop switches off with no warning. I thought that I had missed the low battery indicator, but no. Now the laptop works only when plugged in to the wall. It will not power up with only the battery. Pushing the button gives absolutely no response, no leds, not even a brief flash (although maybe it did flash very briefly once just after the problem happened).
I have tried the normal sized battery. Same problem -- no response.
What have I done?
thanks for any advice you can offer...
suddenly T40 battery stops working, plug power only, why?
