FireGL V3200 HyperMemory?

#1 Post by CoolDragon » Sat Sep 16, 2006 3:48 pm

I tried Windows Vista RC1 yesterday on my T43p (2687D5U), it runs very snappy, including the Aero interface.

However, when I looked at the system log, which is much better than XP, I saw several warnings about video RAM resource contention. Looks like the 128M video RAM is not enough for the Aero interface to run on 1600x1200 resolution.

Interestingly, I found a link on ATI (http://www.ati.com/products/Mobilityfir ... specs.html) indicating that FireGL V3200 does support HyperMemory.

My question thus is: anybody knows which driver will enable this HyperMemory technology?
Current: T43P-2687D5U: P-M 2G, 2G RAM, FireGL V3200 128M, 80G 5400 RPM(Will be 100G 7K100 when 2010 gone!), 15' UXGA, Multi Burner, Intel A/B/G, Bluetooth, 9 Cell, Fingerprint Reader, WinXP Pro
Previous: 390E, 600E, T23, X30, T40 ......
