T41 - predesktop area

When I press the Access IBM button during the bootup, I don't see any "recover to manufacter state" or any similar option. The only options I recieve are to enter the BIOS and to boot from a different device.

How come I have no predesktop area?

Press F11 and see if the Recovery programs startsup
