Screen freezes

#1 Post by Sand » Thu Sep 21, 2006 7:12 am

Hello,

For some time now the computer has been very long in shutting down when I power off , but lately it has been freezing on the screen that says' computer is shutting down'. Is this something wrong with the computer, or is it just a setting correction? I have the 2379DXU. It's about two years old.No matter what I try I can't hurry it or change it. It won't even turn off with the power button. I just have to wait it out.
I would appreciate any suggestions to fix it.

tia,
Sand

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by 'reinstalling windows'. It came already with the computer. What is it listed as under 'Programs Add and Remove'? You don't mean the browser, do you, Firefox or IE? Also, what is Wifi, and how do you turn it off?

Thanks,
Sand
