Watching DVD's - 480i or 480P

#1 Post by atct86 » Mon Sep 25, 2006 11:28 pm

When I watch a DVD on my T40, is it being displayed in 480i or 480p?

Also do any upscaling software programs exist to upscale to fit the lcd?

I normalyy use Media Player, or rarely free divx player.

Are there any better alternatives?

No, what DVD decoder software are you using?

WMP does not come with one. I like the Nvidia Purevideo decoders myself. Any decoder you get will work in conjuction with WMP to give you the best video quality.

Whatever you have now, if you do not see horizontal interlacing lines, it is deinterlacing and displaying in some progressive format, whether it be 480p or 720p I am not sure.

edit: nevermind, it cant be 720p, i didnt see that you had an XGA display and not a SXGA+ display.
