Bluetooth Problems... - SOLVED
Right since ive restored my T40 to factory im having problems with my bluetooth, ive installed bthwxp1o.exe from ibm as this is what i used before i restored.
But for some reason the bluetooth is now controlled by "Bluetooth devices" and i cant use 'my bluetooth places' ive got two bluetooth icons in my nofitication area, and also in control panel (see screenshots below)
I need to use 'My bluetooth places' everyday as i need to connect to my phone for mobile internet.
Anybody got any ideas? Just incase its related, im running xp pro sp2

I have the same problem on my T43p since my upgrade 2 weeks ago to the newest BT software. It's installed and recognized by Windows XP but in My BT Places and My BT Devices there's no BT device found

Found the solution
Ended up paying the £39 to IBM.
Its that driver problem again, you need to go to Device Manager right click your IBM Intergrated bluetooth II, go to update driver, no not this time, press advanced, dont search i will choose, then use the unsigned driver at the bottom called 'IBM Intergrated Bluetooth II'
Other bluetooth device controller dissappears and you can use My Bluetooth places fine
Glad thats working now!
