Higher temps when no battery in the system

#1 Post by alexzabr » Fri Oct 06, 2006 12:09 pm

Since my T43 regular (6-cell) battery is affected by the recall and I was advised by the service not to use it until the replacement will arrive, I took it out of my machine and work with AC adapter only.
I noticed the tempratures went a bit higher in this condition then they used to be when the battery is inside. Not something critical, but strange to notice, I wonder why...
(in general several locations exhibit higher temps then usual by 4-7 degrees).

Any thoughts why ?
14.1" T43 2668-6ZU machine.
ATI x300, 1GB RAM, 40 GB HDD, all the connectivity (except of Bluetooth), DVD/CD-WR Combo...
Still excited about this great machine...

Could be that gaps normally covered by the battery are now open, so rather than having a more forceful flow of air from one end to the other it's disbursing more, causing weaker air flow and circulation.
