LCD pressure point

anyone else has a light white spot around the ultranav eraser?

i'm assuming it's not fixable?

and how should i be more careful from now on?

yes. maybe depending on which "eraser" (trackpoint cap) you use, the damage is less or more. I use the cup one (soft rim is the name I think).. and yeah, there's a ring rubbed into the display. I don't know if there is any way to repair it, but you can prevent it with a screen protector that you lay on the keyboard before you close the thinkpad. My roommate has one on his ibook and hasn't had any issues with keys getting imprinted in the display and things like that.
