100gb 7200prm drive in a T42?

#1 Post by skanky » Wed Oct 11, 2006 4:39 am

my current 7k60 is dying a slow death and was thinking of replacing it with a 7k100, seen the sticky at the top about T43 owners getting 2010 errors with 100gb drives.

will i get the same error? i think im on bios v3.18 or thereabouts.

You do not need to worry. That error does not apply to the T42. Just be sure and get a PATA drive. A SATA (Serial ATA) drive will not work.

No, That is a T43 and up thing. You can put whatever you want in a T42.
