Harddrive on T43p - still no luck ...

#1 Post by murlock » Thu Oct 12, 2006 6:18 am

First I got a Seagate ST910021A for my T43p (2668-97G) and earned the infamous 2010 error. Could not find a solution here, but read the success stories by messar, sonny cool and rory (congrats and thanks for your posts) regarding the HTS 7K100. Got that one (100GB) and followed the instructions thoroughly, but again no luck: The drive is recognized by the Bios, 2010 shows and XP runs normally, but whatever I do, hfui15 simply does not find the drive; the upper left field always remains empty and hitting "U" leads to "no drive found". Strangely enough, the upper right field shows made for HTS721010M9AT00 while my drive is a HTS721010G9AT00 (don't even know whether there is a "M"-version out there). Probably I just got one of those non-flashable HTS-drives ...

So it's back to the ST910021A: Has anybody successfully flashed the ST910021A and got rid of the 2010 error?

Thanks, murlock
