Warranty question.

#1 Post by rabbarba » Fri Oct 13, 2006 4:49 pm

Hey, my thinkpad T43 has broken. And since all my warranty papers and receipts and things are about 400 miles from here I't isnt easy to get all of it here. I have my adapter, the computer and the bag for it. Is it possible to send it to Lenovo or for them to pick it up without the papers? I mean, just with the serial no and stuff.
How does the warranty work? How long does it take before i'll get it back? (It doesn't recharge on the adapter)

If you go to the IBM/Lenovo website it auto detects the Warranty info (I have no papers, so I have to rely on this) and there arent any problems.

since it's broken, you'll have to manually type in your machine type and serial.

also you can try giving them a call, it might be faster that way.

Go ahead and call it in. All I had to provide was my serial number and model number.
First Laptop: IBM ThinkPad iSeries 1411 (2611-411) (Underpowered from day one)
Next Laptop: HP Pavilion ze5300 (Poorly Cooled)
This laptop: IBM ThinkPad T43 (2686-NAU) (PERFECT.)
