Trouble with Access Conn. After Suspend

#1 Post by Dead1nside » Sun Oct 15, 2006 10:24 am

While I was trying to test out my wireless router (it's been really weird and random it's a Draytek 2600G).

My thinkpad was connected to it, and then while I was away it suspend-to-ram'd and so it's internet was cut.

Then I came back to it and tried to shut down and Access Connections just threw up lots of errors. Now I restart and Fn+F5 and only my Bluetooth is in there... my wireless has gone?

Has your wireless NIC been disabled? That would likely cause errors in Access Connections. I *always* disconnect my active Internet connection using Access Connections *before* suspending. That appears to do the trick and I have no problems with the wireless NIC or with Access Connections. ... JD Hurst

Thanks. I'll try that. I didn't intend it to suspend, but since I left it idle for awhile and it was on battery it suspended anyway.
