#1 Post by hhy2k » Thu Aug 26, 2004 1:55 pm

How do I write out the recovery CD set with the help of IBM Access?

Thanks

Don't press the IBM Access button, simply click:

Start -> IBM Access -> Make A Recovery CD set

(not exactly, but close enough, I don't have my Thinkpad right now...)

You'll need 8 CDRs.

I believe only the T42's have that feature in Access IBM. My T40p doesn't come with that program.

Well, that might be just right as the T40P has no such an option! I went ahead an ordered it by mail. If it had been purchased within 30 days, it is free, and so it is.

Thanks

I ordered the CDs today and didn't have to make up any stories about Linux. I was transferred to the call center in Atlanta and the gentleman took my order.

He asked if I needed XP Home or Pro. I can't believe they even offer Home as an option, but he assured me that they do and people actaully purchase IBM computers with XP home.
