Changing a t41p wireless card?

#1 Post by milesrbruce » Thu Oct 19, 2006 12:23 am

I have a t41p, which has a Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI wireless card.

It seems to run slow. I have friends that have T41P that have better wireless cards.

Can I upgrade my wireless card? Does anyone recommend a GOOD alternative and where it can be purchased?

Please let me know. Thanks.

Yes, you can upgrade quite easy. :thumbs-UP: Here are some links with removal and installation movies:

The easiest way to upgrade is to use IBM cards. I use the IBM Intel 2915ABG and it works fine for me. Other (cheaper) cards can be used too but you'll get a 1802 error. Search the forum for the no-1802 hack.

Good luck!
