Optimum TPFan Control Values?

#1 Post by agarza » Sat Oct 21, 2006 12:17 pm

Please post your TPFanControl values, mine are:

Level=50 0
Level=56 1
Level=65 3
Level=70 6
Level=75 64

What I'm trying to do is having the CPU to run cool, but to avoid the GPU (FireGL T2) to become too hot.

There isn't an optimal value that works for everyone. It depends on your usage and preferences.

This is what I use. The fan is off 90% of the time.

Levels= 42ーC -> 0, 48ーC -> 1, 54ーC -> 3, 70ーC -> 6

Experiment, within boundaries, to see what you like. :)

Try to find your daily average workload, then see how hot the sytem gets. After that, step the fan down in terms of RPM and then see how low you can take it without the system becoming too hot.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
