Can the Processor for my T40P be upgraded

Sorry I could not find anything if it is out there in the forum.
Can someone tell me if can upgrade the 1.7 processor in the T40P?

Yes, I dont know if you can put a Sonoma processor with a 533FSB, which will not run at that speed on your T40p, but for sure you could install a Dothan

You wouldn't be able to, as Benotto states, simply drop in a Sonoma CPU with a 533MHz FSB such as the ones featured on the T43/ps, those would require a planar drop-in; you can, however, put in another Dothan 400MHz FSB easily. :)

Any B stepping, 400MHz Dothan should work. Apparently, there are C stepping 1.6 & 1.7 Dothans (400MHz). These do not work.
