[T42p] Searching for Bluetooth Driver and other questions...

#1 Post by strgalt » Sat Aug 28, 2004 11:56 am

i have my new t42p since 3 days and i want to install a fresh winxp sp2
but i cant find the driver for ibm bluetooth III adapter.
is this driver included in xp sp2 or where can i find this one???

should i save all data (drivers, ibmtools,...) from hdd to dvd, or can i find all programs at ibms website?

can i take the newsest chipset driver (6.0.1.1002) from intel or should i take ibms one? (4.x)

is there something else, what i should attend with a clean install?
(especially driver, utilities, other ibm software)

thanks and bye

bluetooth driver is included in SP2. it was a separate download before.

you can download all the driver's on IBM's site, read the FAQ on THIS website to get the URL.

i'm using the newest intel chipset driver, but the intel Pro/1000 (ethernet) drivers did NOT play well with the laptop, so i used the ones from IBM. The new Intel ones are 8.x, the IBMs are 7.5.x. The Intel latest ethernet made my "ipconfig" not work - it kept thinking the ethernet was broken whenever i had it unplugged... very strange.

I downloaded the bluetooth driver from the IBM website a week or so ago.
