How about a new T42 2378FZU

Any advice regarding this unit? It does come with 15' display but the specs say 1024x768, also I don't think it has any bluetooth but it does have the wireless Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG..... any thoughts on whether I should upgrade this current configuration? the HDD is 40Gb/5400rpm

That's the model I just bought 2 months ago. It's by far the best machine I've ever had, but I should say that for me graphics were pretty much on the bottom of the priority scale. You'll probably hear people say to get a machine with a better video card; it's definitely something to consider if you haven't yet. It really depends on what you want. Also, I don't care about the bluetooth, personally, so I haven't missed it. The builtin wireless works extremely well. So far I've been extremely happy with the purchase and use the machine several hours every day with no problems. It's fast as hell for general-purpose use, 5400rpm notwithstanding. It's also surprisingly light and compact. I use it for law school & haven't had any problems toting it around on a daily basis. I'm sure people with more experience with Thinkpads will have something to add.
