When I hit Fn+F3 to switch off lcd, it will turn back on by itself after 5 minutes. Using power management to auto power off after 15 minutes doesnt work at all. But if I reboot the computer the lcd will turn off using either method and stay off. The next day the same thing happens again, auto power off wont work and hitting Fn+F3 will turn lcd off for 5 minutes only and then turn back on. What could be causing this problem? Here is a list of apps I have running besides the normal windows stuff:
Firefox
Kerio personal firewall
Antivir antivirus
Notebook hardware control
Thinkvantage active protection for HD
Thinkpad hotkey for Fn keys
Nothing is configured for auto updating. Also when I leave the laptop on overnight the mouse/touchpad is untouched but I still wake up to the lcd turned on. Whats going on? Any help would be appreciated.
T43 - LCD turns on by itself
I have a Logitech MX500, so what you are saying is with the optical mouse connected it will sometimes trigger the laptops lcd to turn on. But no other laptop manufacturer has this problem except for Lenovo
Is there a fix? Btw is this a common problem because I cant find any info when searching on the forum or google. And yes, I have it configured to auto shut off after 15 minutes. Thanks in advance.

All optical mouse will somtimes have slight triggering. Cursor drifting is the correct word to use. On my Dell desktop, this also happens everytime when i left it on overnight.I have a Logitech MX500, so what you are saying is with the optical mouse connected it will sometimes trigger the laptops lcd to turn on.
