Bluetooth software update v5.1.0.1100

If you are interested in a more recent version of Bluetooth software, instead of the older IBM v1.4.3.4, a more recent v5.1.0.1100 is available. All my prior attempts at updating to a newer Bluetooth software has failed, but I finally succeeded installation by following this excellent guide I found. Everything is now working properly, and Microsofts stack is removed.

During the guide, it will say "unplug the Bluetooth adapter", which equals powering it off with Fn+F5.

The IBM Integrated Bluetooth III (Actiontec) adapter has VID_1668 & PID_2441, and is found in the default Bluetooth driver INF-file.
