Impossible to obtain the Rescue and Recovery CDs !!!

Hello,

I bought a used T43p 2668-WTB but the default factory language is German. Some of the pre-installed software also comes in German.

I already installed an english windows from scratch and I found it was cumbersome : The automatic software updates from Lenovo website does not reinstall all the software that came from the factoy. I found I still needed to install the initial versions manually and then run the automatic updates.

Now I am in a situation where my system will not reboot (I messed up with ubuntu installation ... other story ... ) and I do not have recovery CDs. I am already banging my head on the table thinking that I will have to reinstall everything from scratch again.

Do you know if it is possible to change the language in which the system installs itself from the recovery partition? Also the laptop is under warranty but IBM wont send recovery CDs in english. Any idea how to get a copy of recovery CDs in english?

I would appreciate any help you can offer .

Thanks for the reply. I might use that however, before I waste anyone's time, it is mentionned in the post that these CDs are for T40/T41 and may not work with a T43p.

Could anyone send me the CDs / DVDs for T43p ? I could also download the .iso ...

Ok, so part number would be 39K9211 replacing 24R8100 for the latest set of CDs.

If anyone could send 39K9211 to me, I would greatly appreciate it.
