Hello all,
I'm having a rather odd problem with my T42's display screen. It seems that whenever the brightness is not set to max, the screen develops an orange tint that begins near the two metal hinges at the bottom of the screen. It begins there and slowly spreads throughout the screen; eventually the whole screen is tinted orange. The weird thing is that at max brightness, the problem doesn't appear.
If you bring the screen out of suspend, the orange tint is there and slowly disappears as the contrast slowly increases.
What do you guys think I should try? Is sending it for repairs the only option?
Thanks all,
Shien

Here are a couple of sites (related) that I ran across regarding backlight replacement. I personally have not used these people so I cannot vouch for them.
