Can the 3 trackpoint buttons be removed as it appears some sticky substance is underneath one of them causing it to stick and it is rather annoying.
Thanks
Andy

Trackpoint button removal
IBM T60
I accidentally removed those buttons a couple of times before without damaging them. I think the trick is to remove the keyboard, place it on a flat surface, push the left/right button backwards with a very light pressure and then push gently upward.
There will be one wide plastic hook at the rear end and 2 small plastic hooks at the front holding it together.
Middle button is a little tricky and should be removed last. You need to bend the front end of the keyboard downwards pressing on the tip of the middle button. 2 clips lock this into place at the rear end and one long bar at the front.
I am NOT SUGGESTING that you try this method, this is just my way of removing these buttons.
And as jdhurst said, they are not so expensive to replace.
Good luck.
