problem on T42 after IE7

#1 Post by zaku » Fri Dec 01, 2006 11:37 pm

after i upgraded the internet explorer to the 7, it now acts weird.

- the NHC temperatures, cpu clock,... won't show on the right of the taskbar anymore. even though i went to start the program, it says the NHC is already running.
- network connection becomes "non operational" as status when u go onto the task manager

but when i leave the laptop for a while, ~30 minutes, then the NHC comes out and the network wireless connection icon comes out too (but still non operational).

anyone encountered the same problems? how to fix it??
thanks in advance

I don't think it's IE7 fault, maybe you installed another software?

I upgraded my T42 (2373-K5H) to IE7 with no problem, using Win'XP-Pro SP2. (Windows Explorer crashes once in a while now, but it's not related to your problem).

Sounds like you may have a hardware problem...

Switch to Firefox 2.0. Everything new in IE7 was standard in the OLD Firefox (1.0). Use System Restore to go back to the day you installed it and restore your whole system, then try Firefox and see if you have the same problem.
