The reason for this is the number I call for support is located on Argentina and serves for Mexico and South American countries. The warranty policies are quite different than the US ones.
I ordered the recovery CD's for my machine, and they arrived in less than 5 working days, shipped from US.
Now that I want a keyboard replacement, IBM support Argentina wouldn't send just the keyboard, I need to send the laptop to a support center located in Guadalajara Mexico.
I see that people living in US or Canada have not trouble getting a replacement keyboard, and Lenovo just sends the new one to their home, no hassles.
I was wondering if I could call IBM Support in US and tell them to ship me the keyboard to my country. (The keyboard layout I use is US)
Would that be possible?

I don't have a US address. But I was wondering this since my Recovery CD's for my T42p were shipped from the US, not from a Central American location, so I was wondering if I could give them a call and complain that I cannot send the machine just for a keyboard replacement.
