Problems reading DVD's with DVD MULTI+ burner

#1 Post by Rose » Thu Dec 07, 2006 10:57 am

I have a DVD MULTI + burner to my T43p. FRU 39T2507 REV: 101
Since my machine was new I had problems reading some DVDs, burned as well as originals. My burner also fails burning.

So recently i filed a RMA-request and they sent me a new, same type, only manufactured in June instead of November 2005. This one is able to burn, but when i tried to burn a DVD+ disk in my brand new Plextor PX-760A, the replacement DVDburner cant read it, while the old one can. All the DVDs i have problems with work with no problems if i use a CDRW-DVD combo-player instead. The problems with my DVD-burners persist on whatever T4x-machine i put them in.

The problem is that IBM-rep tells me that some DVD-players arent always compatible, and to live with the problem. That is so ridiculous.

Has anyone else experienced this?
