T42 Crash Error on Logon

Hello,

I have a ThinkPad T42, and recently I have been experiencing a stop error when I try to log in.
The error I get reads:

*** STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0x804f0380, 0xf877573c, 0x00000000)

It doesn't mention anything else. No dlls or system files.
When I try to load the IBM access and recovery software, I get this error:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Session Manager Initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000003a (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.

I CAN boot into Safe Mode through F8, but it's slow.

Any help would be very awesome.
