Please confirm NewEgg Review

#1 Post by markgreene » Mon Dec 11, 2006 2:41 pm

I am about to buy my girlfriend a larger hard drive for her T42. I am planning on upgrading her to this Seagate 100 GB drive, but one of the reviews is a guy saying that the T4Xs will only accept a Hitachi drive, which does not sound right to me.

Can someone please confirm or deny this? It is my opinion that the guy does not know what he is doing.

Thanks,
- Mark

That reviewer is probably referring to the T43's 2010 error. I don't think the T42 has this problem, but it would best if someone else can confirm this.

Yes, I can confirm that T42 won't care of which hard drive you put into it. Among the T4X series, only T43 has a list of allowable hard drive.
