Upgrades and warranties

If I upgrade my processor does it void my warranty?
Do I need to put the old processor back in before sending it in for warranty work?
T60 2623-D7U, 3 GB Ram.
Dual boot XP and Linux Mint.

Only if they notice it, when the motherboard of my T40 failed i send it with the SXGA + and the 2.10GHZ processor and nothing happened, they repaired under warranty. :lol:

If you have it and do not want to take the risk, yes do it.
