What memory is compatible with my T42?

I am new here and new to my T42. I want to upgrade memory but heard that IBM is picky on memory. Some manufaturers claim their memory are compatible but actually not. Can someone give me instruction on compatible memory except IBM brand? BTW, how to search in this forum?

After some research & shopping around, I decided to go with Crucial. I purchased a 512MB module for my T42 (2737-3VU) and so far I am happy with it. They shipped fast, too. I received my memory module after 3 business days. Check out their website at:

or you can simply go to www.crucial.com and drill down from there. Note that the website stated T42 type (2378) but I talked to the sale person and he confirmed the chip works for my machine. You might want to clarify with them before making your purchase.
