just got my first tp. there are a few minor issues, but otherwise i am quite happy with it. I went to ibm's update site and am befuddled as to what updates i really need. If I checked everything available, the download would be over 192 mb! I've got a cable modem, so it won't be too bad. Some of the updates were dated 2003?! I would hope that those updates would already be on my system... How do I tell which updates I really need? Is there an easy way to do this?
I've got a 2373ktu.
Thanks!
new t42p - update help
Re: new t42p - update help
Your TP should have all the updates until April/May. The easiest way is to run IBM Update Connector. It checks all the necessary updates (if it works). Install the updated version. We had/have some issues with it though: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... +connector.
