Recovery CDs

#1 Post by Antioch » Tue Sep 07, 2004 7:25 pm

Just doublechecking - but, if I delete the IBM partition and wipe the disk completely, I can return my thinkpad "normal settings" (IBM partition restored and WinXP installed) by using the recovery cds, correct?

Just want to doublecheck before I go ahead and wipe the disk.

Anyone know how many days it usually takes IBM to get the discs to you?

I bought my T42 on the net. Its still in the 30 day period. Whom do I contact at IBM to get the recovery cds free of cost?

Thanks,

Regards,
Ali

On a T42, you can create your own recovery CDs.
Just check the menu under 'Access IBM'.

Call the help desk. I don't have it handy right now, but you should find it if you root around in the forums for 800 (or is it 888 now?).
