T41 SXGA screen into a T60?

#1 Post by DesolataX » Wed Dec 27, 2006 1:45 am

I was wondering if they I would be able to swap my SXGA 14.1" screen from my T41 to a 14.1" T60. Have they changed the design/connectors? Would it fit?

Thanks!

No way. Even the hinges of the screens are different between T4X and T60.

I don't know if it could be done or not, but the hinges don't matter if all you are changing is the LCD panel.

IIRC, the connector for the LCD cable is in a different place on the T60 and T4x panels. Since you must use the T60 cable, im going to say this is not possible.

there seems to be some kind of standard regarding the plugs of the panels themselves though. meaning that if you get the t60 specific cable, it MIGHT fit the plugs on any sxga panel.

the screwholes might still be different, though.
