Extra HD

My T42 has 40gb HD, but I have a new Hitachi 60gb thin on the shelf. Wouldn't it make sense to get an ultrabay slim HD adapter and use it for backups, etc.?

And if so, how much is too much? I got one for the old ultrabay for $10, but I'd guess I'm in a different bracket with the T42?

I haven't even looked at the 2nd HD prices for the T4X, but I imagine it's more like $30-50. Instead of taking that route, I bought an IBM external USB HD case and used an old HD. Cheap and easy.
