Hi All,
I have a T42 with the latest BIOS and also use a Mini Dock II.
I recently bought a USB Thinkpad keyboard (PN: 31P8950) to use when my laptop is in the dock so that I can have the same feel as when working on the laptop directly.
However, it seems that the keyboard is not recognized when I use a KVM switch.
If I plug the keyboard inot the laptop USB port or into the docks USB port it works fine.
I've read threads how people had some issues with certain mice and KVM switches and have purchased one of the models (IOGear) that was stated to work iwht the docking station, but it still does not work with the Thinkpad keyboard.
Does anyone know of a 2 port KVM switch that would work with the thinkpad USB keyboard.
Also, does anyone know what the underlying issue is with the docking station and certain USB devices?
Thanks in advance,
Jim
