How about your thinkpad international warranty?

I am curious to know whether you can get the US keyboard if you try to email USA lenovo and see if they will ship that thing to you? :? :?

As for the shipping cost, err... 8)

Try eBay. There are merchants there which sell almost any spare part for Thinkpads.
You just need to make sure they ship to your world area.
I hope you got PayPal :-)

I have a T43 (15" screen) that I bought in the US and then put a UK keyboard into so I have a virtually unused US keyboard. But I'm almost certain that the 14" versions use different keyboard part numbers so it's not of much use to you.

I also replaced my US keyboard with a DK keyboard, so I have one lying in a box unused.

It should be possible to get a keyboard with any language layout from an IBM service depot in Europe. It may take them a few days to order it, but other than that, no problems. I have had my US English keyboard replaced by IBM in Zurich, the process was straightforward.
