USB Ports On Mini Dock II

Hi All,

I have a Thinkpad T42 and I'm using the Mini Dock II (287710U).

I just bought a USB Thinkpad keyboard with ultra nav (31P8950) to use while the laptop is docked. The keyboard is connected to one of the USB ports on the mini dock.

The keyboard also comes with two USB ports to connect devices to but when I try adding devices to it, I get a warning from Windows saying that the device has malfuctioned.

However, when I connect the keyboard directly to one of the USB ports on the T42, everything works fine.

Does anyone know what is going on with the USB ports on the mini dock?

I'm running WinXP SP2 and have the latest BIOS version.
