I just picked up an Ebay T42 for a friend. They failed to upgrade the HD to the advertised 60G 7200rpm, so they're sending me an extra 512mb RAM, which is fair enough, since she can use the extra memory more than more, slightly faster, space. Otherwise, machine is clean and fast 2372-JXU.
Anyways, in setting it up, I saw that unlike my wife's T43, the Software Installer did not give me a BIOS update option. I d/l'ed the newest BIOS, but it runs from a command line. I kinda liked the way it worked on the T43. Can I update the BIOS on the T42 similarly, through Windows?
