I have a T41P (GREAT MACHINE) that has a INTEL PRO WIRELESS
2100 3B wireless card.

The B card seems to be a bit slow.

I have ordered a new INTEL PRO MINI 2915 ABG card from IBM. Can these cards be swapped? Is it difficult to do?

What kind of speed gains, etc. will I realize once I make the switch?

Thanks for any insight you can give me.

I am reading all these bad reviews about the 2915 ABG cards. Should I cancel my order and order a Thinkpad ABG card instead? I thought the Intel card was supposed to be better, guess I was wrong.

Can anyone help me? Is there that much difference between a B card, and ABG?

Not much help, but I do know that b is only 11mbps. I think the Atheros card is the way to go on this one.

The Intel 2915ABG cards come as standard on our fleet T43 models and they have been excellent and reliable performers in a wide variety of WiFi connectivity situations.

If you look around enough you will find "all these bad reviews" on all the commonly available WiFi cards.
