Suspend mode won't resume on a T23

Lately we have had an issue with laptops not coming out of suspend mode. they appear to "wake up" in that the HD light is on and the suspend mode light goes out, but the machine just sits there in stasis with a black screen.

the ibm access software is up to date and i have removed and re-installed it. the bios is set up to suspend when the screen is closed.

any ideas/suggestions on what the problem might be? i had one of the hardware techs at the office check it out and he believes the hardware is ok. i tried updating the bios and it's got the latest version.

I'm having the same problem with my T41. It comes and goes, but have not figured it out yet.

I've been thinking it might happen if I close the lid, unplug the power adapter BEFORE the suspend really kicks in (led lights up). So it might have to do with the power saving options, but it's currently just a gut feeling.
