Sorry... I'm sure this is here somewhere but I can't find it - I'd like to see complete listing of specs for thinkpads... can anyone point me at it?

If you're talking about new ThinkPad's for sale today, then check ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pcinstitu ... tabook.pdf ("Personal Systems Reference Lenovo ThinkPad Notebooks").

If you're talking about "older" ThinkPad's, such as e.g. T42's, which are no longer offered directly by Lenovo, perhaps someone here can help with an older version of the TAbook?

The first post in http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... ight=psref ("ThinkPad Personal System Reference sheet posted today") will guide you to furher information on (current) ThinkPad Notebooks literature.

If you search for specs about specific ThinkPads (e.g. 2373-N1G), then use http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... OME-LENOVO

Click on the FTP link in the FAQ, and download the tawbook - that will give you all the available info on the T40 - T41 and p variations

Well, the tawbook - entitled: "Personal Systems Reference, IBM ThinkPad Notebooks A, T, X, and G Series, 2000 to 2005 - withdrawn (May 2005 - Version 291), at ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pcinstitu ... awbook.pdf includes up to T41, but no T41p's, no T42/p's and no T43/p's.

The ltwbook, however, entitled: "Personal Systems Reference, Lenovo ThinkPad Notebooks, 2005 to present - withdrawn (December 2006 - Version 316)" at ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pcinstitu ... twbook.pdf ... includes more T4x's; both T41/p's, T42/p's, and T43/p's.

Those two books hopefully contains what you want!

To get detailed specifications on any ThinkPad, the best place to look is the famous TBOOK series of PDF files:

tabook/tawbook ---> A/T/X series
tbook/twbook ---> 2xx, 3xx, 5xx, 600, 7xx, 8xx series
tibook/tiwbook ---> i series
