Dock .vs. Dock II

What's the difference between the "Dock" and the "Dock II" ? I've seen several docking stations advertised on eBay but the descriptions don't necessarily indicate whether they are the I or the II. IBM's support site doesn't seem to help me sort out the differences either. I am considering either a port replicator or a docking station for at T21 (for a friend) or a T22 (for myself). I have a gut feeling that the main differences lie in the USB support (ie. USB1.1 .vs. USB2.0)?

I believe the Port replicator only has one or two usb ports whereas the mini dock I got the other day has 4 ports and can be used with USB 2.0. You can get the port replicator for about 60-100 bucks where the mini dock I seem to find for around 150.00 or so on ebay.

Why not use the 'Search' facility on this forum - we've been thru all this (differences/preferences etc.) a few days ago.

YES.. Infact, I was looking forward to use the Search and did not notice the tiny option at the top of the screen. I was used to seeing Search with a [_____] window next to it. I was looking for the [_____].

Also... I only drop by to this site every couple of week only, unless I have something specific in mind.
