I have an IBM Minidock II (part number 2878) for my T41p, and have noticed that it does not power my USB hard drives. Basically when they are plugged in I get an error message saying that power for that USB Hub has been exceeded, or something like that.
The same drives work fine when plugged into a powered USB hub and from there, to the Minidock.
This is rather disappointing, considering that the MiniDock II comes with such a hefty power supply.
Is this normal, or is there something wrong here?
MiniDock II won't power USB hard drives?
