cant get my bluetooth to function

Hey, i have been trying to get my bluetooth integrated modem to actually work with my mobile telephone. I have downloaded the service pack 2 of windows and am trying hard to really sync my mobile phone (GSM Nokia 6230) with my beast (t42). Additionally, i am using my intel wireless network in my university.
I have also downloaded the latest driver update from ibm on bluetooth...

what am i doing wrong> any clue?

It's not actually clear what doesn't work - can you turn on the Bluetooth radio? (Fn + F5) Or is it simply a matter that the mobile phone and the laptop don't communicate? Clarification please...
