Higher screen resolutions on T43 1871 AP5

My T43 1871 AP5 supports only the following resolutions:
1. 800 X 600
2. 1024 X 768

Adapter: Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family
OS: Win XP Professional, SP2

I have tried the following:
1. I have upgraded the graphics driver from Intel to the latest version 6.14.10.4704

Is there a way to get higher resolutions on my thinkpad? Any help is deeply appreciated!!

Well according to Lenono's product specifications, your T43 should support a resolution of 11024x768, amazing!
However, the max. resolution is most likely 1024x768 and no driver or other piece of software can change that. You would have to upgrade your LCD panel to and SXGA+ model.

Indeed. Your locked resolution is to max 1024x768. Where did you purchase the laptop? I take you bought it on your Uni campus /
