Thought I'd pass this on - at the Pantip Plaza in BKK today saw a Thinkpad T42 256RAM 1.6 GHz 40Gb 1024x768 for 75,900 baht + 7% tax (refundable apparently at airport).

Wireless in Bangkok
I've checkedon the internet and found that there are quite a few hotspots for wireless connection in Bangkok and a few in Chang Mai, none in Pattaya for some odd reason. I'm moving to Thailand at the end of the year. I know that 802.11bis used in Thailand, but my question, does anyone know if 802.11g is available or will become available in the near future. I have presently installed in my T40p, the IBM 802.11a/b Mini-PCI card. I was planning to upgrade to the IBM 80211a/b/g Mini-PCI card, but if 802.11g is not being used either now or in the future, I will pass on the upgrade and maybe wait for the next generation upgrade, possibly 802.11i or 802.11n I've read a little about.
Thanks,
David
