upgrading memory in t43

#1 Post by ewalker3 » Wed Feb 07, 2007 11:50 am

I ordered two 1 gb memory cards for my t43.
I want to swap out the existing 512, but i can seem to find it?
I did add the one gig to the vacant slot? but where is the 512?

thanks,
ed

If you have added 1 GB to the vacant slot on the bottom, the other memory slot is inside the machine itself. You should find the 512 chip there.

This movie ought to help:

It is under the keyboard.

this above shows how to remove and reinstall the keyboard.

Here below is a movie showing the actual memory removal, plus another with the insertion of the new module:

Avoid static. Done carefully and properly this is a 15 minute job, not too daunting, really.
